The Story
Fernanda and Filipe’s May 14, 2026 wedding was a reminder of why Maui is one of the most meaningful places in the world to begin a marriage. In fact, they crossed an ocean from Brazil to say yes on this shoreline. And so, barefoot at Maluaka Beach, they married with the Pacific behind them and the late-afternoon light doing what no ballroom ever could. Here, there were no walls. Instead, there was only the ocean, a small circle of family and friends, and a ceremony timed so the sun could set on the promise.
From the quiet anticipation before the ceremony to the joy that carried long after, every part of the day had a feeling of presence. Naturally, these are the moments we chase when we create a Maluaka Beach wedding film. Above all, we look for the glances, the pauses, and the emotion that lives between the planned events. In the end, this is the kind of Maui wedding that doesn’t need decoration, because the place already means something.
For Fernanda and Filipe, the film was never about documenting a timeline. Rather, it was about preserving the atmosphere of the day: the beauty of Makena, the intimacy of their vows, and the way their family gathered close to hold them in that moment on the sand.
