“We absolutely are obsessed with ‘The Dark Knight’. You think you can create something in that vein, Stephan?” asked the groom on our discovery call.
If there is one thing I have grown to love it’s keeping creative fresh and not patterned. I had no idea how we might pull that request off, especially of a Haleakala elopement. But 10,000 ft elevation was already a much better start than the tropical ocean paradise below.
We had an other-worldly , downright spiritual-feeling shoot at 10,000 feet above the clouds. Then in the edit and grade we made creative decisions to make this elopement quite a bit different from most.
Love it, or hate it, it’s exactly what the couple wanted. Here’s what they wrote us upon having viewed their Haleakala elopement film:
